In 1993, former Salisbury University student Jeremy Wolfer collected folk material. His collection explores the folklore associated with the martial art community. Jeremy was familiar with this folk group because he grew up in a family of martial art practitioners and held himself ranks in several martial arts. For this term paper, he collected a great deal of martial art legends that provides an in-depth description of the philosophy and culture surrounding this practice.
